Introduction

Shaolin Arhat Robe(i.e. this item) is the uniform for practicing Shaolin Kung Fu. It is perhaps as old as the shaolin temple, which is 1500 years old. The upper garment of this uniform is a long jacket that covers the hip. It has the "youren" collar style, which is same with Hanfu. The lower garment is a pair of loose pants. You need to strap the trouser legs with Shaolin Monk Socks, so they don't swing when you are practicing the extremely fast moves of Shaolin Kung Fu.

It's real

It's always a risk buying from a new website, but they have a blog and so I trusted more that they were authentic. And they are. It takes about a month to arrive since they custom make it after you order and it comes from China. I like the robes and feel comfortable in them.

Communication
The company always responded and even e-mailed me first to talk about the shoe size, which is reassuring.

Shoes
They suggested that I go up a size in shoes because their shoes are narrow. I regret going with that recommendation because now the shoes are too big and I can't wear them while training as they fall off. My recommendation is to go with your normal size.

The Best Monk/Arhat pants,Robe i have ever owned!

i ordered custom sized Arhat Pants/Robe.
Penny, from BestChineseclothing, has been a fantastic help in the ordering process, and i would not have had such a smooth transaction without her help.

Firstly, after discussion, we determined the Mercerized Cotton would be a good choice... oh, boy, and i glad i went that direction.

I have owned many Arhat pants/robes since the 90s. They were quick to tear at the seams, too small, too large, more like the canvas karate gi (very stiff and heavy) or much too light (like some silk tai qi uniforms.
When i opened the package and felt the material, i knew i'd finally found THE BEST Arhat uniform i will ever own. The material carries weight, but light at the same time. It STRETCHES so nicely, and i no concerns (overall) with the material expecting to "rip". I WILL DEFINITELY BE ORDERING MORE.

The BestChineseClothes tailors did a phenomenal job in the custom production of my set. The sizing is spot on. Fortunately, the BCC team will keep my sizes on record as i'll continue to order.

The only matter of slight concern was the crotch single stitch. This will wear out quickly with many kicks, splits, and either pubu or gongbu stances while wearing shaolin or hanfu socks. Penny from BCC is working with me to adjust the next order to address this single stitch concern.

However, if you will not be frequently doing kicks, splits, or wearing shaolin socks while doing these, the single stitch construction may pose no problem siince, as noted, the material stretches very nicely.

Really good quality

At first, I was a little unsure about the credibility of this store, but I can by myself confirm that everything here is legit.
The shipping took a bit longer then expected but this is I minor issue because its international shipping, so that may take a while.
Also the notifying emails that are for updating the shipping status got wrongly filtered to the advertising-emails and therefore I did not noticed them right away.

All in all I recommend buying from this store, if you want good quality clothing.
