The order process:
- - - 1. with Bestchineseclothing.com (BCC) was simple and easy, and our Client Services Partner, Penny, was very helpful on sizing (having provided measurements)
- - - 2. The website was easy to navigate, makes selections, and pay.
- - - 3. You have the option for express shipping or regular shipping. However, it takes a bit to get it out the door and the tracking app is a bit less than ideal in its usefulness. However, BCC provides the tracking number via email so, you can use a tracking app you prefer for better accuracy.
- - - 4. Communication with BCC is good. They do get busy sometimes and you'll need to be prepared to wait a few days at times for a reply - but its always courteous and full of details you need.
The Uniform Material:
- - - 1. Viscose fiber mixed with Nylon (not one or the other, it was a combination of the materials: Viscos 73%, Nylon 27%).
- - - 2. The material is more sturdy than a dress suite, but not as hard as a Karate Gi. It is also not as flexible as mercerized Cotton. It's "hard" enough that hanging it on a hanger will create creases in the shoulder and pants. You will have to iron them for when for public use.
- - - 3. Having washed the uniform a couple times, the color seems to hold (not fading any more than usual), and shrinkage was at a minimum.
The Uniform Fit:
- - - 1. The fit will depend on ones taste. We all know some regular sizes fit tighter and some more loose. I ordered two standard size uniforms: One XS (non-strapped cuffs) and the other XXS (with Strapped cuffs).
- - - 2. In the end, the XS pants fit perfectly, while the XXS was loose, but tigher than "best fit". On the contrary, the XXS jacket was absolutely perfect fit!, while the XS was a hair too loose/big.
- - - 3. The measurements offered do not include "INSEAM". I wish it did. It would be easier to select your size if you pants usage is more important. The XS pants had a 78cm (30.7in) inseam, while the XXS had a 77cm (30.3in) inseam. The shorter inseam of the XXS created a lot of stress on the crotch stictching, so pulling them up higher aleviated that, but then the length tended to be a little short when exercising.
- - - 4. So, i would suggest you decide if its more important for the pants to fit "perfectly" for you, or the jacket, and order accordingly.
The Uniform Design
- - - 1. there are quality clues you will be glad to know about. It has inner pockets, snap buttons on the inside, frog buttons on the outside, and both inner and outter ties for quickest bindings. All three are genius.
- - - 2. You will have to be careful when undoing the snap buttons and treat them gingerly. They snap tight. So, if you "pull" them apart, you will tear the stitching or the uniform.
- - - 2. the pants have side pockets (on both sides) of a little better than average depth. However, they do not have zippers or velcro, so take that into account when putting heavier items within and performing with items in your pocket. The pockets are a very welcome addition!
Rating:
- - - 1. I give this product a 5 star rating - in that it offered what it promised, fit like marketed, and has a few extra suprises.
- - - 2. I would describe the transaction with BCC as "very good" and will definitely put in another order.
Conclusion:
- - - Ideal fit and material for Tai Qi Quan and excellent transaction.
